Feuilleter l’ouvrage

Jules, Solal, and Laïla, three young adventurers, are finally going on holiday! Ready for adventure, they invent, with their grandfather, an incredible camper van that goes back in time and teleports them. Our trio of intrepid adventurers will guide young readers on a tour of French monuments in which games, jokes, and adventures will play a major role. They encounter labyrinths, the salons of princesses, fortresses, and prehistoric animals.

Help Jules find Laïla in a labyrinth in Montal, colour capitals in Cluny, make a shield in Carcassonne, or make jam in Nohant with George Sand: these are some of the many games Cécile Guibert-Brussel and Laurent Audouin offer young readers. Le Cahier d’activités des enfants qui remontent le temps take budding archaeologists, princesses, knights, architects, and decorators on a magical journey through the palaces, chateaux, fortresses, and cathedrals of France, at sea, on solid ground, in the air, from prehistory to the Revolution, from the Middle Ages to modern times.

With educational content accompanied by funny, inventive drawings, and a high-quality binding, this activity book feature ninety-six pages of fun set in the most visited French heritage sites. In chronological order, the young adventurers will learn about the history of the monument through a short description. Then page after page, they can try their hands at extraordinary games and activities for all ages: number games, word games, colouring pages, copying exercises, spot-the-difference games, mazes, find-the-shadow games, snakes and ladders, battleships, and recipes.
